Milton Keynes elections 2021: Polls are now open for you to have your say

The polls are now open for residents to have their say in today's local election.

Adults in Milton Keynes will be voting for a Police and Crime Commissioner and Borough Councillors. In some areas, there will also be Parish Elections and Neighbourhood Plan Referendum(s).

Elections are taking place between 7am and 10pm today. As long as you're in line by 10pm, you'll be able to vote.

You can find your polling station on your poll card or at wheredoivote.co.uk

    Voting safely

Milton Keynes Council has put arrangements in place to help ensure polling stations are safe places to vote. You can expect many of the measures you’ve become used to over recent months in shops and banks, such as hand sanitiser and face coverings.

If you're heading to a polling station today, don’t forget to:

    - Only vote at the polling station if you are feeling well

    - Wear a face covering

    - Bring your own pen or pencil

Do not vote in person if you feel unwell. If you are currently self-isolating, you will be able to apply for an emergency proxy vote up until 5pm today. This is where someone you trust votes on your behalf. Find out more here.

For more information about voting safely, please see Milton Keynes Council's Frequently Asked Questions.

Still need to return your postal vote?

If you have not sent off your postal vote, you can take it to a polling station, drop it off at our Civic offices or at Saxon Court today. Find your nearest polling station here: wheredoivote.co.uk.
