Milton Keynes Community Foundation offering support grants to local organisations impacted by the pandemic

After a tough year for many, MK Community Foundation is offering local organisations the chance to receive extra support funding to help them get back on track.

The grants are aiming to provide some much needed extra funds to many local organisations that deliver voluntary and community projects, such as helping the elderly, disabled or those suffering from mental health issues.

Explaining the need for the additional funding, a spokesperson for MK Community Foundation said: "We aim to fund a wide range of non-profit organisations working to create social change across all 12 Vital Signs thematic areas: Strong Communities, Disadvantage and Poverty, Diversity, Health and Wellbeing, Crime and Safety, Housing, Arts and Heritage, the Local Environment, Economy, Transport, Work, and Education. We welcome applications that respond to issues raised in the Vital Signs report.

"We particularly welcome applications from organisations looking to address new, emerging, and/or unmet needs, those working collaboratively or in partnership, and/or those working to improve the efficiency and capacity of the local voluntary sector.

"We look to support projects that are impact-focused and promote equality, diversity and inclusion and are creative, where organisations have a clear understanding of the difference they will make."

The main grant programmes running throughout the year are:

Small Grants - up to £3,000

Community Grants – up to £10,000

    Large Strategic Grants - a multi-year project

Transformation Grants - one-off strategic funding
