Milton Keynes children aged 5 to 11 can now get booked for 'low-dose' Covid-19 jabs

The jabs for children are reportedly a third of their normal strength.

Parents and carers of children in England can book a low-dose COVID-19 vaccine from today.

Appointments can now be made for children aged 5-11 in England using the NHS website or calling 119.

Hundreds of sites will offer vaccinations from Monday, with more joining the programme later in the week.

The move comes as parents of young long COVID sufferers visited Downing Street asking the government for more support.

Dr Nikki Kanani, deputy lead for the NHS Vaccination Programme, told Sky News: "My 13-year-old son has had his two vaccinations and I'll be booking my 10-year old daughter in for hers at the earliest opportunity.

"I would encourage all parents to read the NHS information available and consider doing the same."

The booking for children has launched today here.
