Milton Keynes-based pubs continue weekly dinner donations to frontline workers

A string of family-run pubs have been donating hot meals to frontline workers since the start of the pandemic.

Every week, six local pubs that are part of the family-run company The Great British Inns cook roast dinners for key workers.

This was launched back in 2020 when the nation went into the first lockdown, when the independent company also donated all of its stock to various good causes.

Now, nearly a year in, The Great British Inns continues its weekly donations with one of the pubs, The Three Trees, recently giving meals to workers within the Intensive Care Unit at Milton Keynes Hospital.

A spokesperson for The Three Trees said: "We cannot save the country from this pandemic, however what we can do is help where we can and that is making sure that our amazing front line heroes are fuelled to fight it!

"Over the last few months, each of our sites have donated over 500 hot meals to our courageous key workers. To the policemen, the firemen, the nurses, the doctors, carers and all our other front line workers, from everyone at The Three Trees.. WE THANK YOU!"

The pubs involved in the donations are The Three Trees in Bletchley, The Red House in Newport Pagnell, The Wheatsheaf in Bow Brickhill, The Anchor in Aspley Guise, The Bull in Stony Stratford, and The Ship Inn in Leighton Buzzard.

The Three Trees in Bletchley is also offering a free meal to eligible children on free school meals. All you have to do is message The Three Trees on Facebook and the meal will be ready for collection within 48 hours.
