Milton Keynes based charity that trains dogs to sniff for diseases to feature on national television

    The Milton Keynes based charity that trains dogs to detect the odor of human diseases with the aim of increasing the rate of diagnosis and helping the NHS have a lunchtime date!

    Dr Claire Guest, CEO of the Milton Keynes based charity Medical Detection Dogs is talking on Channel 4 on the Steph's Packed Lunch Show.

    The medical detection dog charity continue on-going research to investigate whether medical detection dogs can be trained to detect COVID-19.  It is believed that first-stage training using suitable dogs is underway.

    The amazing work is carried out by Bio detective dogs who are trained to sniff odors from samples.

    The project has attracted backing from the UK government and public donations, together with collaborators at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and Durham University.
