A Milton Keynes boxing club which aims to tackle anti-social behaviour and youth violence has received funding from Thames Valley Police.

Thames Valley Police took to social media yesterday to announce funding for New Bradwell Youth Boxing Club.

PC Ady Cafe was delighted to receive funding from the Thames Valley Community Fund for New Bradwell Youth Boxing Club based in Milton Keynes. PC Cafe accepted a cheque for £910.00 on behalf of the club which was presented by Police and Crime Commissioner Matthew Barber and Chief Constable John Campbell at a ceremony last week.

New Bradwell Youth Boxing Club is a private amateur youth boxing club, which has ran in partnership with Thames Valley Police and New Bradwell Parish Council, since beginning back in 2018.

The boxing club aims to help tackle issues of anti-social behaviour and youth violence by introducing youths from the local area to the disciplines of boxing.

Membership is by referral only and each member signs up to an Acceptable Behaviour Contract as a condition of free membership to the club.

Thames Valley Police says that constant funding is essential to keep this important club in operation and anyone wishing to assist with funding should contact PC Cafe from the MK North Neighbourhood Policing Team in Milton Keynes.
