James Sedgwick, aged 60, of Falcon Crescent of Flitwick, Bedfordshire, was sentenced at Aylesbury Crown Court on Monday.

He was convicted at the same court on Friday, March 23 after being found guilty of four counts of indecent assault by unanimous verdict following a four day trial.

Sedgwick’s offences occurred in the Milton Keynes area and involved two female children.

The offences against the first victim occurred between 1988 and 1989.
The offences against the second victim occurred in 2014.

Sedgwick was charged with the offences on 9 January this year.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Michele Weston, of the Child Abuse Investigation Unit based at Bletchley police station, said: “This has been a lengthy investigation and has taken place over a significant period of time.

“I would like to thank the victims and their families for their bravery and support throughout this process.

“Thanks to their courage, Sedgwick has now been convicted and imprisoned, and I hope that they will be able to start to move forward with their lives.”
