Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, a man has been sentenced for arson offences in Milton Keynes.
Michael Howard, aged 40, of Harlow Crescent, Oxley Park was sentenced to seven years and six months’ imprisonment with an additional four years on license at Aylesbury Crown Court on Tuesday (22/10).
He pleaded guilty to one count of arson and two counts of arson with intent to danger life on 8 July.
This is in connection with three incidents that took place on 28 March this year in which Howard deliberately started a fire at a property in Harlow Crescent and two premises in Barnsdale Drive, Westcroft.
Howard was arrested the same day and charged on 29 March.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Lynda Stearman, based at Milton Keynes police station said, “Howard’s actions were dangerous and thankfully no-one was injured during the fires.
“Thames Valley Police does not tolerate such offences and I am pleased that Howard has been brought to justice and can now reflect on his actions whilst in prison.”
