People Against Parental Alienation (PAPA) are continuing their Lost Years Campaign, which highlights the emotional cost to children and parents caused by the slow processing of family-court cases.
In 2023. more than 100,000 children were caught up in a backlog of family-court cases.
A PAPA spokesperson told MKFM: “Put simply, a failing system is often the thief of childhoods. “Our campaign calls on the Government to reform the outdated family-law system: to speed up court processes, to ensure enforcement of court orders, and to introduce real deterrents, such as fines or stronger penalties, for repeated court-order breaches.
“We believe that public awareness and pressure can drive change.”
Residents have been continuing to contribute to the installation of soft toys located outside Milton Keynes Magistrates Court, which represents the 'lost years' many children experience.
