Between the hours of 1.45am and 3.45am on Wednesday (25/11), a lorry driver was parked up outside Magna Park near to John Lewis waiting to unload his trailer.

The driver’s cab was broken into by four men who held him down at knifepoint and then drove him to a layby northbound on the A5 near Caldecotte.

The offenders unloaded most of his trailer into a large van or small truck, between 7.5 and 10 tonnes, and then unhitched the driver’s trailer from his cab.

The driver’s cab was then set alight and was seen burning at 3.45am and police were called.

The victim, who is 37, was unhurt during the ordeal.

The lorry that was robbed was a 40-tonne Man truck with a white cab and a white and blue trailer and the offender’s vehicle was a van or truck, but the colour is not known.

A large quantity of Bose electrical items was stolen during the incident.

The offenders are all described as white men.

One was between 5ft and 5ft 2ins tall, of slim build and aged between 25 and 30-years-old. He was wearing black clothing with a hood up and a black facemask. He was carrying two knives.

The second offender was between 5ft 7ins and 6ft tall of slim to medium build and aged between 30 and 35-years-old.

He was wearing light coloured cargo trousers, a black jacket and hood with a black face mask.
