London Northwestern Railway through Milton Keynes suspends some service due to flooding

Due to an extensive amount of flooding, some services on the London Northwestern Railway have been temporarily suspended.

In a short statement released on social media, a spokesperson for London Northwestern Railway said: "Due to flooding, both northbound lines and a southbound one too are blocked just north of Euston station.

"Departures from Euston are currently suspended."

It is expected that heavy rain has caused Network Rail to close the lines until the flood water recedes.

18:24 UPDATE: After an inspection of the track, officials have deemed that no trains will be able to pass at this moment and suspensions are to remaining place until at least 19:00.
