Local shopping centre car park lights up blue to honour the NHS

The new multi-storey car park outside centre:mk last night (26/3) lit up blue to honour the NHS.

It lit up blue whilst thousands of people throughout Milton Keynes joined in with a national round of applause at 8 pm.

The campaign, called #ClapForOurCarers, was set up to thank those working hard to keep us safe during the coronavirus pandemic.

Residents throughout MK took to their doorsteps, balconies, and windows to join the nation in what one local called a "moving tribute".

The campaign has proved so popular that residents now say this should be a regular occurrence. "We should do this EVERY Thursday until this all blows over. Continuous love and support for all of the NHS and the key workers," said a person on Facebook.
