Lakeview Lodge Care Home on Jersey Drive, Newton Leys, recently took part in the initiative, National Care Home Open Day on Saturday 21st of April and opened their doors to the local community.
The staff, residents and families of Lakeview Lodge Care Home all clubbed together and hosted an afternoon tea to celebrate the Queen’s birthday celebrations. The staff and residents also took part in lots of games & activities, had a BBQ in the garden, and enjoyed some singing, live music and dancing.
Cheryl Rolt, Home Manager for Lakeview Lodge Care Home, said: "This is a great way to show the excellent services on offer and the fantastic work that goes on at Lakeview Lodge. Some people still have misconceptions about care homes, so we are keen to dispel any myths and for people to come and have a look around, meet the staff and our residents. We had lots of local people pop in to meet us, in which we were delighted. We are excited to invite the local people of Milton Keynes in again, although they are welcome to pop in, anytime!"
