A planning application that will see a £128m investment in Serpentine Court and the wider Lakes Estate has been submitted by MK Council.
The proposals include almost 600 new homes, new shops, and wider estate improvements.
In November 2018, 93% of residents who took part in a ballot voted to fully redevelop Serpentine Court. Since the vote, MK Council has worked alongside the community to prepare proposals that will deliver much needed new homes and bring improvements to the wider Lakes Estate.
The £128m investment in Serpentine Court and the Lakes Estate include proposals for:
- 593 new affordable homes, 51% truly affordable council homes
- A new local centre with new shops
- An improved and enhanced Warren Park
- Street enhancements across the Lakes Estate
- Improved bus network and parking
Following the ballot in 2018, MK Council organised 11 consultation events, welcoming more than 700 people to share their feedback on the emerging plans. A drop-in session is held twice a week where residents can ask questions and get more information.
MK Council will continue working with the community to appoint a contractor to deliver the project. If the application is successful, work is expected to start later this year and be fully completed by 2024.

MK Council is currently consulting on its new regeneration strategy. In December last year, the Fullers Slade community voted for new homes, refurbishment and improvements on the estate.
