'Justice has been served': Milton Keynes man jailed for abusing Love Island star

    Malin Andersson and Tom Kemp

Former Love Island contestant Malin Andersson, 27, has shared the news that her abusive ex-boyfriend Tom Kemp, 29, has been imprisoned following a campaign of abuse.

Malin Andersson, also from Milton Keynes, said she was "relieved" after two years of "absolute hell" where she had previously suffered broken bones, cuts, and bruises in various attacks.

The couple split in 2019 shortly after the death of their premature-born baby girl, Consy.

And, on Thursday, Tom Kemp was jailed for ten months after admitting to assault occasioning actual bodily harm at Aylesbury Crown Court. He had previously branded Malin a "liar with mental health issues."

Over the past year, Malin has been vocal about domestic abuse on social media, sharing pictures of her injuries to her hundreds-of-thousands of followers and warning people of the "traits and warning signs" of domestic abuse.

The most recent post to her fans is a picture of marks on her neck, with the caption "Justice has been served". It continues: "The last 2 years including my pregnancy have been absolute hell. No one knows half of what I've gone through and I haven't been able to say much due to an ongoing police investigation."

She added: "I'll be giving my account of what happened in the coming week. Thankyou for those that supported me, and those that called me a LIAR.

"I am here to tell you - YOU CAN GO TO THE POLICE!"

The post was concluded with a link to Refuge Charity, a service that supports people suffering from domestic abuse and runs the National Domestic Violence Helpline.
