Just two days left to have your say on Council's draft budget

With the deadline for views fast approaching, Milton Keynes Council is still asking for residents for their opinions.

The budget for 2021/2022 will aim to keep vital services running while keeping council tax low.

The Council wants to also continue investing in Milton Keynes economy, the green recovery, jobs and skills to keep unemployment in the city low, particularly through its actions on climate change.

They plan to support the most vulnerable people in the city through the Covid-19 pandemic, by ensuring services are running and support is available.

Milton Keynes Council will have to be prudent with its use of its reserves though, so they don't have to make severe cuts like nearby Luton Borough Council.

The budget will see a 2.5% increase on council tax for residents across the city.

Full details of the budget can be found on Milton Keynes Council's website.

Those wishing to give feedback, should do so by Sunday 31st January by emailing budget@milton-keynes.gov.uk.
