Infection rate slightly rises as 14 coroanvirus cases recorded throughout Milton Keynes today

    14 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Milton Keynes today (31/5), according to the latest data.

    It brings the total number of people tested positive in Milton Keynes since the start of the pandemic to 20,375 - of which 79 were in the past seven days.

    The 7-day case rate in Milton Keynes slightly increased to 29.3 cases per 100,000 people where it was previously at 23.8 cases per 100,000 people. 

    This has now risen above the national average of 28.6 cases per 100,000 people.

    Nationally, there was an additional 3,383 people who tested positive yesterday, with 1 death within 28 days of a positive test.

    This death did not take place in Milton Keynes, meaning the city's total COVID-linked death toll still stands at 463 since the start of the pandemic.

    148,193 local people have had their first dose of the vaccine and 85,713 people are now fully vaccinated.
