Increased police presence at popular Olney river this weekend as temperatures set to soar

With temperatures set to soar this weekend, hundreds of people are predicted to visit the popular Olney Recreation Ground this weekend.

In a statement on their Facebook page, Olney Town Council announced their plans for the Recreation Ground this weekend.

The Town Council have arranged for additional waste bins and 'litter picks' to keep the Recreation Ground as tidy as possible as well as extending the opening times of the public toilets.

As the weather gets warmer, the Town Council see an increased amount of visitors to the area, especially around the River Ouse which seems to be a popular visitor site. Because of this, the Town Council has arranged for an increase of police presence in the area.

The Mayor will also be making visits to catch up with families, friends and visitors, ensuring everybody feels safe and the Olney Recreation Centre gets looked after.

The full statement can be found on Olney Town Council's Facebook page.
