A revised bin collection schedule is in operation this week across Milton Keynes due to the Christmas and New Year break.
If your bin day is usually Monday, your next collection will be on Wednesday January 2nd.
If your bin day is usually Tuesday, your next collection will be on Thursday January 3rd.
If your bin day is usually Wednesday, your next collection will be on Friday January 4th.
If your bin day is usually Thursday, your next collection will be on Saturday January 5th.
If your bin day is usually Friday, your next collections will be on Monday December 31st and Monday January 7th.
Disposing of your Christmas tree in Milton Keynes
There are a few options for disposing of your Christmas tree in Milton Keynes now that the festive season is coming to a close.
Milton Keynes Council will collect any Christmas tree left next to your green bin on your revised collection day free of charge.
Alternatively, Willen Hospice are collecting trees in selected Milton Keynes postcodes for recycling and to raise funds at the same time.
Anyone who lives in postcodes MK5, MK9, MK10, MK12, MK13, MK14, MK15, MK16, MK19 or MK46 can make a booking for the collection which will be on either 5 or 6 January 2019, depending on the routes.
Bookings should be made by midday on 3 January 2019. As this is a fundraising initiative, a donation will be welcomed when bookings are made. All money raised from donations for tree collections will directly support the specialist care provided by Willen Hospice.
Each contribution will make a huge difference to the lives of patients and their friends and families. The trees will be recycled by the MK Council who are supporting the scheme.
