Here's how you can help out local Milton Keynes NHS workers

The Rotary Club Of Milton Keynes Charitable Trust Fund has launched a fundraiser scheme to send goodie boxes to the NHS's dedicated men and women.

The currently ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has taken a heavy toll on the NHS and its workers over the course of the last year.

Many social and healthcare employees have worked tirelessly and selflessly for our safety in battling the coronavirus.

For merely a few pounds, you can show your appreciation for the NHS and help make a massive difference to a staff member during these trying times. £5 will send a fully stocked goodie box to energise exhausted workers.

The Milton Keynes Chamber of Commerce, who are supporting the scheme, is encouraging members of the public to donate whatever they can. Their online post read: “Under pressure like never before, our Milton Keynes NHS staff are exhausted & traumatised by the enormous task before them.

“Wearing full PPE all day to carry out what is an already physical and emotional role caring for our sickest in society, our NHS workers are being pushed to the limit.

“We can thank them in a practical way by offering them energising snacks, refreshing juice drinks, wet wipes to rejuvenate tired faces and moisturising hand cream for chapped hands. These goodie bags will be placed in the new rest-room, recently refurbished for staff to get right away from the ward on their breaks.”
