Help spend £25m in Bletchley and Fenny Stratford

    Local people in Bletchley and Fenny Stratford are being encouraged to share their thoughts and help shape a £25m investment plan for the area.

    The Bletchley and Fenny Stratford Town Deal Board is currently developing proposals to show government how the money could be spent.

    Milton Keynes is one of 100 places eligible to bid for up to £25m of government investment.  The Bletchley and Fenny Stratford Town Deal Board was formed in July to develop the investment plan and engage widely with the public.

    John Cove, Chair of the Town Board is urging local people to share their own ideas for how they think the money could be spent. View the short video at the bottom of this article.

    He said: “For the Bletchley and Fenny Stratford improvement plan to be solid, robust and convincing to government, we must demonstrate that we’ve listened to what the local community wants to do.

    “I’d really urge people to take part because it’s really important that any improvements to Bletchley and Fenny Stratford reflect what local people need.

    “We’ve launched an online survey to begin gathering people’s thoughts, and we’ll be arranging further public engagement opportunities in the weeks and months ahead.”

    Leader of Milton Keynes Council, Pete Marland said: “It’s crucial that these proposals reflect the views of all communities in Bletchley and Fenny Stratford help to shape this investment plan.

    “I’ve already been so impressed by the collaborative efforts of all of the partners – but we really want to hear the thoughts of local people, so please let us know your thoughts using the online form.”
