'Significant' police presence following reports of male 'brandishing two large knives' in Milton Keynes

    Police are appealing for information or witnesses following an incident this morning in Serpentine Court, Bletchley.

    At 11:25am today, police were called to the Lakes Estate area to reports of a male brandishing two large knives.

    Officers attended the scene including armed officers and the NPAS helicopter but despite a significant police presence and a thorough search, no suspect was located.

    Investigating officers believe that this incident started outside The Happy Shopper on Serpentine Court during which a victim was hit in the face with cans of alcohol resulting in minor injuries.

    The offender is described as a white male, stocky build and was seen wearing a white t-shirt but later seen bare-chested.

    Thames Valley Police say: "No arrests have yet been made and we do not believe that there is any ongoing risk to local residents. we are aware that our officer presence in the area may have caused some disruption to members of the public and we would like to thank them for their patience.
