Heatwave expected across Milton Keynes this weekend

    Temperatures are set to increase later this evening (18/07) across Milton Keynes - and are expected to remain high for the following week.

    According to the latest figure from the Met Office, temperatures tonight across the region will be hitting highs of 31°C later this evening.

    The temperature is expected to rise until at least 5:00pm, where it will then gradually drop to lows of 21°C just before midnight.

    Describing the weather forecast for today, a spokesperson for the Met Office said: "A dry, bright and sunny day across the region.

    "Some fair weather cloud developing during the afternoon, most likely staying dry. Generally hot across the region, although cooling quickly in the southeast from late afternoon with an onshore breeze. 

    "There will be some patchy cloud lingering into the evening, then gradually fading away to leave clear skies across the region. Feeling very warm inland overnight.

    Monday will be slightly cooler, with a maximum temperature of 27°C and a minimum of 19°C.

    Next week has similar results, will temperatures predicted to be rarely dipping below 20°C for the foreseeable future.
