Halfords in Milton Keynes to re-open this week

Halfords have announced that their site in Milton Keynes will re-open by Friday this week.

The Milton Keynes store is one of 53 locations re-opening across the UK.

It follows a trial of new social distancing measures at stores in Peterborough and Bristol Cribbs Causeway.

“We are pleased to be in a position to start letting our customers back into our stores” said Graham Stapleton, the chief executive of Halfords.

“However, we are going to be reopening them to our customers gradually and cautiously in order to be absolutely certain that our colleagues and customers have a safe environment in which to work and shop.”

Halfords stores are classed as essential retail, but have only been operating a collection service during lockdown.

The site re-opening in Milton Keynes is at Rooksley Retail Park.

No opening date has yet been given for the Bletchley store.
