George collaborates with Netflix on Stranger Things takeover in Asda Milton Keynes

Asda’s Milton Keynes flagship store, in Bletchley, will offer a totally immersive experience this weekend.

Customers will be invited to explore sets and props from the series including Will Byers’ house and the opportunity to take selfies in the ‘upside down’.

Shoppers paying a visit to the fitting rooms could also find themselves looking into a gateway to another dimension, as floor to ceiling graphics complete the concept and bring Hawkins to Milton Keynes.

On 27th and 28th May, Netflix ambassadors will also be making a visit to the Bletchley store, handing out goody bags to customers taking a picture in the Stranger Things takeover space and offering freebies including exclusive season 4 merch.

A range of George at Asda x Netflix products will be available in Milton Keynes and in 40 additional Asda stores which will also feature graphics letting shoppers know a ‘new season is here’.

Fans can also scan a QR code in stores to access the full Netflix range online at George.com.

George announced in April it would be launching a number of exclusive Netflix ranges throughout the year, as it continues to grow the number of licensed products offered online and in stores.

Scott Macrae, Senior Buying Manager at George, said: “This is the first time Netflix has collaborated with a supermarket retailer in this way to create an impactful, immersive experience in a retail store. As a brand, George has a long history of pushing the boundaries and bringing something new and exciting to customers, which is exactly what we’ve been able to do through our partnership with Netflix.”
