Four men arrested and charged following MK Dons match yesterday afternoon

    Four men have been arrested and charged following the MK Dons vs Mansfield game at Stadium MK yesterday afternoon.

    The 'winner takes all' game, with attendance of over 20,000 people, saw the Dons secure automatic promotion to League One after beating Mansfield 1-0.

    Despite a 'pitch invasion' at the end of the match, the game was largely trouble-free with most fans reporting an exciting afternoon and friendly atmosphere celebrating the automatic promotion.

    But four men were arrested by Police and have subsequently been charged and bailed to appear at Milton Keynes Magistrates Court.

    A 26 year old man from Mansfield has been charged with one count of assault by beating and three counts of assault by beating of an emergency worker (police officers). He has been bailed to appear at Milton Keynes Magistrates Court on 20th May.

    A 20 year old man from Mansfield has been charged with using threatening or abusive language with intent to cause fear of or provoke violent behaviour. He has been bailed to appear at Milton Keynes Magistrates Court on 4th June.

    An 18 year old man from Milton Keynes has been charged with using threatening or abusive language with intent to cause fear of or provoke violent behaviour. He has been bailed to appear at Milton Keynes Magistrates Court on 20th May.

    A 22 year old man from Mansfield has been charged with using threatening or abusive language with intent to cause fear of or provoke violent behaviour. He has been bailed to appear at Milton Keynes Magistrates Court on 4th June.
