    Here's a look back at the biggest Milton Keynes stories this month - sure to put a smile on your face and banish those January Blues.

    1. George the budgie escaped from its home in Caldecotte and was found seeing the sights of Stadium MK. After an MKFM appeal the bird was reunited with its owner. Read George's full story here.

    2. Thousands of hats have been knitted for new-born babies at Milton Keynes University Hospital following an MKFM appeal. The generosity of the knitting community, both locally and further afield, means that Milton Keynes Hospital received 3,000 hats. These tiny little hats will be worn by premature babies to keep warm when being transferred from ward to ward.     3. A Milton Keynes man used a Starship delivery robot to propose to his girlfriend. Ben Hogan filled one of the robots with rose petals - as well as the all important engagement ring! He then arranged for it to to appear outside his house, before he got down on one knee to ask the question. Read more about the romantic gesture here - which was even covered by BBC Breakfast hosts Dan Walker and Louise Minchin who were left in disbelief after learning about the supermarket delivery robots in Milton Keynes saying, "Maybe it's a Milton Keynes thing."

    4. Denbigh School amongst the few hundred schools in the WORLD to receive prestigious Microsoft Showcase School for the 2020 – 21 academic year. Read the full story here.

    5. A grandmother from Kents Hill is celebrating this month after winning £30,000 thanks to her lucky postcode. 51-year-old Rachel Saunders joins two people from Marston Moretaine who won £50,000 each earlier in the month on the People's Postcode Lottery. More here.
