Fire fighters were called to a bin lorry fire yesterday (09/02).
Bin collectors were on their usual route in Walnut Tree yesterday when a fire broke out in the lorry.
Firefighters were called to the bin lorry on Lichfield Down in Walnut Tree at around 8:46 AM.
Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue say the small fire was contained within the rear container compartment of the lorry.
The contents of the container were emptied, and the firefighters used one hose reel and a thermal imaging camera.
Residents took to social media to report the smoking lorry with some claiming that the fire started from batteries which has been discarded in one of the bin bags.
Walton Community Council posted a photo of the batteries which had been binned.
