Eventbrite Refunds Rocksolid Customers

Ticket agency say, they are reaching out following the collapse of Rocksolid Race Ltd

Yesterday we reported that hundreds of Rocksolid participants and local charities were set to lose money following the collapse of the company.

The next annual Milton Keynes event was due to take place at Silverstone on October, participants were offered an early incentive to sign up.

It originally appeared that Eventbrite, the company who processed the transactions would not issue refunds on behalf of Rocksolid limited.

However, following our story yesterday, a number of MKFM listeners have contacted us today after receiving the following email from Eventbrite.

    Hello

We are reaching out to let you know that your order for ROCKSOLID RACE | MILTON KEYNES 2017 has been refunded through Eventbrite:

    Order ID  -
    Purchased 2016-11-15
    Paid by Visa - XXXX-XXXXXX-8001

Note: We are reaching out to you today about your registration for “ROCKSOLID RACE | MILTON KEYNES 2017,” which was scheduled to occur on 21 October 2017.

We were recently notified that the associated company, Rocksolid Race Ltd, has gone into liquidation due to financial difficulties, and the race has therefore been cancelled. On behalf of all of us at Eventbrite, we’d like to sincerely apologize for your experience with this event. We are a self-service ticketing platform and were not involved in the production of this event or the decision to cancel it; however, we are committed to providing a high level of customer service to attendees who purchase registrations through our website.

While you may have been directed to contact your bank or an insolvency agency to pursue a resolution, it’s our understanding that these outlets may not be able to provide you with refunds. Given that the above event was cancelled, we believe that you deserve to get your money back. Because of this, we have chosen to dip into our own pocket and refund all participants who purchased registrations on Eventbrite. You can expect to see the refund on your credit card statement within 7 business days.

We’re passionate about creating a safe, well-lit place to find great experiences on our website, and hope this refund and communication indicates to you how deeply we care about your experience using Eventbrite.

If you have any additional questions or concerns, we are here to help. Please reach out to our support team via email at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/contact-us.

    Sincerely,

    Eventbrite Trust and Safety

If you have any questions on your refund, please review the FAQs included below.

    Frequently Asked Questions

When will I receive the funds in my account?
Refunded transactions can take up to 7 business days to display within the associated account linked to the card used for purchase, depending on the bank or credit card company that backs the card.

Can you refund to a different card or send me a check instead?
We are sorry for any inconvenience, but we can only refund directly to the card used for purchase.

The card used for the original order is no longer active; will I still get my refund?
Don't worry! You can typically expect the bank or credit card company to reroute a refund credit amount from the canceled/expired card to the new card or account for use. If they can't reroute the credit to another card, sometimes the bank will issue the attendee the credit amount in the form of a check. Be sure to follow up with your bank or credit card company if there are any questions, as this process occurs outside of Eventbrite.

I used a prepaid card for my purchase; will I still get my refund?
If you still have the prepaid card used for purchase, please follow up with the provider directly, as they can typically help resolve this. If you no longer have the prepaid card on hand, we apologize for the inconvenience, but we can only refund directly to the card used for purchase.

I was expecting a refund for another order on this event; will it be refunded?
You’ll receive a separate email for each order that’s refunded, so be sure to check your inbox and spam folder for additional refund notifications. You can also check the status of all tickets in your account here. If you believe that you haven’t been refunded for all orders you requested, we apologize for the inconvenience. Please reply here to let our Support Team know!
