The unit, which is currently home to WHSmith, has been spotted for let on a commercial property market website.

The unit has been posted to let 'subject to vacant possession' on Realla and has been described as 'one retail unit which will be divided into two units with potential to change the size to suit occupational requirements'.

It has been posted as one of two units in the Brunel Shopping Centre in Bletchley currently up to let, the second unit being the Santander store which closed earlier this month.

Realla posted the advert as "Strictly confidential disposal - staff unaware".

Back in November 2020, it was reported that WHSmith were closing 25 stores as pandemic pushed the retailer into a £280m loss, but no stores in Milton Keynes were closed as part of these closures.

MKFM reached out to WHSmith to confirm the future of the store and a spokesperson responded: “We can confirm we have no current plans to close our store in Bletchley.”
