Coronavirus infection rate in Milton Keynes drops but 19 hospital deaths have been announced today

    Infection rates seem to be dropping across the city, but sadly 19 hospital deaths have been announced today (12/1).

    There were 270 new coronavirus cases reported in Milton Keynes today, according to the latest data from Public Health England.

    This means that the number of cases is stabilising, and the infection rate is dropping. The 7-day case rate in Milton Keynes has fallen again today from 856.5 cases per 100,000 people yesterday to 848.4 cases per 100,000 people today.

    Nationally, an additional 45,533 people have tested positive for the virus with a further 1,243 people sadly dying within 28 days of a positive test.

    Milton Keynes Hospital today (12/1) announced that a further 19 people have died with COVID-19. Three deaths took place on 8th Jan, twelve on 9th Jan, three on 10th Jan, and one on 11th Jan.
