CONFIRMED: Coronavirus test centre set to open in Milton Keynes town tomorrow

It has been confirmed that a brand new COVID-19 test centre will be opening in Wolverton from tomorrow (21/1).

This comes just one day after MKFM exclusively revealed that Milton Keynes Council had shown interest in opening a test site at The Agora Centre car park.

The Council had been looking at other sites in the area, and was reportedly looking at the legalities of obtaining the shopping centre car park for COVID testing.

But it has since been confirmed that this has all gone through, meaning that Wolverton will have their very own test centre.

The Agora Centre car park is being converted into a test site today (20/1), and will be open for testing from tomorrow (21/1) onwards.

Half of the car park will be for COVID testing, while the other half, nearest to the Agora, will operate as a normal car park.

Residents wishing to have a test in Wolverton will be able to book a COVID test via the Government website from tomorrow (21/1).

Tomorrow's opening will mean that Milton Keynes is home to four test centres for residents, and one rapid testing centre for asymptomatic key workers.

The other test centres are in Central Milton Keynes, Bletchley, Newport Pagnell, and the rapid testing centre is at the Milton Keynes Library.
