Children in Milton Keynes invited to design a 'Platinum Pudding'

    Children in Milton Keynes are being encouraged to start baking and drawing as part of the Queen's Jubilee celebrations.

    Buckingham Palace has launched a national baking competition to find a 'Platinum Pudding' for HM The Queen's Jubilee this year and now The Mayor of MK is trying to get local children involved.

    The Mayor of Milton Keynes is inviting students of primary schools to submit a drawing of their design idea for a ‘Platinum Pudding’ and for secondary school students to bake and send in a photo of their creation.

    The competition is also open to Cadet forces, Scout and Guide Associations.

    Secondary schools running/ supporting a baking based competition must select two to be submitted via photo.

    There is no limit on the number of drawings submitted per primary school.

    The winners of the drawing and baking competition will be announced on the week of 30th May, prior to the Jubilee bank holiday weekend.

    The winners will even be awarded a certificate.

    Pictures of cakes and drawings must be submitted on email to mayorsoffice@milton-keynes.gov.uk by 5pm, Friday 20 May.

    Submissions must include the artists name, age and a phone number and email for a parent/guardian.

    The winners parent/guardian will be contacted.
