Cancer charity who deliver to Milton Keynes Hospital appeal for help

The Northampton based Lewis Foundation is looking for support to rejuvenate their outdated website.

The foundation was set-up by Lee and Lorraine Lewis after the couple realised the strain, loneliness and stress a cancer diagnosis can put on a family, after Mr Lewis's mum, Janice, was diagnosed with cancer in 2010.

Mr Lewis's dad then suffered a fatal heart attack in 2012.

After Janice entered remission in 2016, the couple started the charity who deliver gifts or support packs 'Bags of Hope' as they called, to adults on cancer wards, to bring some joy in a worrying time.

With 32 different options from miniature radios, puzzle books and toiletries, the packs are delivered by volunteers and staff.

The charity delivers over 2,500 gifts every month at hospitals in Luton, Milton Keynes, Nottingham and Northamptonshire.

The couple now is looking to the public for help updating their website, as the current on is outdated.

They're also looking for a van to help distribute the packs to the various hospitals they support from their base in Northampton.

Anyone who is able to help can contact the charity here.
