Man charged in connection with bomb hoax in Newport Pagnell

    Thames Valley Police has charged a man in connection with a number of offences in Newport Pagnell.

    Jeremiah O’Sullivan, aged 54, of High Street, Newport Pagnell, was arrested on Tuesday (19/2).

    He was charged on Wednesday (20/2) with one count of making a bomb hoax – communicating false information, two counts of racially/religiously aggravated fear /provocation of violence by words/writing, one count of aggravated burglary with intent, one count of burglary other than a dwelling, one count of assault by beating of an emergency worker, one count of making threats to kill, one count of using violence to secure entry to premises, one count of using threatening/abusive /insulting words/behaviour with intent to cause fear of/provoke unlawful violence, one count of affray, two counts of assault by beating, two counts of criminal damage to property and a count of making a threat to damage/destroy property.

    The charges are in connection with an incident in High Street, Newport Pagnell, on Tuesday afternoon. Police attended reports of an assault and criminal damage. Upon arrival property had been damaged, threats had been made and officers were told a bomb was in the address.

    O’Sullivan was remanded in custody to appear at Milton Keynes Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (21/2) where he was further remanded to appear at Aylesbury Crown Court on 25 March.
