Fire crews rush to 'kebab van fire' close to Milton Keynes

Fire crews have been called to a fire at a 'kebab van' in Deanshanger this evening (19/7).

(UPDATE 20/7: A fundraising page has been launched to restore the kebab van)

The van is parked on Hayes Road at the junction of Stratford Road and High Street in the village.

Eyewitnesses have told MKFM they have seen large amounts of smoke and flames coming from the van.

Emergency services are at the scene including fire, ambulance and police vehicles.

A road closure is currently in place at the affected location.
