Fire at two storey building near to MK College Bletchley Campus

A derelict two storey building behind the Bletchley Campus of Milton Keynes College caught fire earlier with several fire crews in attendance.

Earlier reports had suggested the fire was at the college itself on Sherwood Drive in Bletchley, but eyewitnesses have since confirmed it is in fact a derelict two storey building behind the college site.

In a statement, a spokesperson for MK College said "The College campus is not affected and will be open as usual tomorrow."

Bucks Fire and Rescue have told MKFM that six fire engines, a turntable ladder and a command unit were at the scene to deal with the incident.

The British Transport Police were also at the scene with road closures and to maintain access to Bletchley Station.

MKFM were sent a video of the fire (below) by a listener at the time of the incident.
