Brand new space themed play park opens on Milton Keynes estate

    Kids can now enjoy a brand new space themed on the Lakes Estate in Milton Keynes.

    The new park is located on Gorman Place on the Lakes Estate and marks the final of four new play areas as part of the major regeneration project of the Lakes Estate.

    Kids can enjoy a range of fun activities including a space rocket slide, zipwire and in-ground trampolines.

    Cabinet Member for Adults, Housing and Healthy Communities, Cllr Emily Darlington officially opened the play park and was joined by a number of excited children and parents from the local area.

    The regeneration of the area includes plans for over 200 council homes and brand new shops.

    Cabinet Member for Adults, Housing and Healthy Communities, Cllr Emily Darlington said: “People on the Lakes Estate are beginning to see real change as we make progress to deliver on the regeneration proposals the community voted for. Regeneration is much more than just housing. We need to help improve people’s quality of life allowing them to live healthier and happier lifestyles.


    “My thanks go out to everyone involved in helping deliver these play parks which will have a lasting positive impact on the children’s health and wellbeing.”
