Boiler blamed for major house fire in Bradwell Common

    A suspected defective boiler is being blamed for a large house fire in Bradwell Common last night.

    Fire crews were called to the three-storey house on Wimbledon Place at around 6.50pm last night. 

    Two appliances and crews from Great Holm, two from Broughton, one from Newport Pagnell, one from Buckingham, the British Red Cross Fire and Emergency Support Service vehicle from Bletchley Fire Station and two officers attended.

    Firefighters used a main jet, two hose reels, a turntable ladder and four sets of breathing apparatus. The roof was 25 per cent damaged by fire, the second floor 50 per cent damaged by fire and the first floor 25 per cent damaged by fire.

    The suspected boiler was on the top floor of the property. No-one was injured.
