'Best pub in Buckinghamshire' announced at the National Pub and Bar Awards 2019

Following its opening last year, The Bull Hotel, an iconic local pub in the heart of picturesque Olney, has been awarded the title of ‘Best Pub’ in Buckinghamshire as part of the prestigious National Pub & Bar Awards.

The annual ceremony aims to shine a light on the finest pubs and bars across the UK, showcasing just how diverse and creative the hospitality industry really is.

The Bull Hotel, part of Bedford based family brewer Charles Wells’ portfolio of pubs, fought off tough competition from the region but was ultimately recognised for its dedication to delivering high standards across the board.

The recently opened pub was praised for its ongoing commitment to delivering fantastic customer service and high-quality food, as well ensuring attention to detail across every part of the business.

Commenting on the win, Anastasia Semutenko, general manager at The Bull Hotel, said: “Since opening our doors to Olney locals and visitors last year, the team at The Bull has worked incredibly hard to establish the pub within the Olney community. Ensuring everyone who visits us has the best possible experience, is something we pride ourselves on, so we’re thrilled that this has been recognised at a county level."

"There are some fantastic pubs in Buckinghamshire, and to stand out amongst such stiff competition is a credit to the fantastic team we have at The Bull and it’s something we’re all very proud of.”

Tristan O’Hana, editor of Pub & Bar magazine, which hosts the event, commented: “From idyllic countryside pubs to inner city cocktail bars, this is the most eclectic and exciting industry in the world. It’s a privilege to help these businesses get the recognition they deserve.”

Highlighting the level of quality being delivered to pub and bar visitors every day of the week, the National Pub & Bar Awards recognises a total of 94 other county winners across the UK, selected based on overall best practice across several operational categories by judges from the industry-leading Pub & Bar magazine.
