Staff have organised entertainment, refreshments and birthday cake for her to enjoy with family and friends.
Beatrice Grayson will be celebrating her 100th Birthday in style on Sunday 3rd March at Lakeview Lodge Care Home in Milton Keynes. Beatrice is a very sociable lady and loves a party, so staff have organised entertainment, refreshments and birthday cake for her to enjoy with family and friends.
Born on 3rd March 1919, Beatrice likes to join in with the daily activities that are on offer at Lakeview Lodge. She especially enjoys arts and crafts and any board games such as scrabble or dominoes. Beatrice has two friends that visit most weeks to chat over a cup of tea and play board games.
“We would like to wish Beatrice a very happy 100th Birthday from all of us here at Lakeview Lodge”, says Home Manager, Beckie Wood “Beatrice is very special to us as she was our very first resident to move in when the home opened in September 2017. She is a very sociable lady and has flourished since she joined us and loves to participate in all our activities here.”
Lakeview Lodge are rating ‘Good’ overall by the Care Quality Commission, their recent report, rated them as ‘Outstanding’ for responsiveness and overall ‘Good’. The report stated that “Staff went the extra mile to find out about people's individual backgrounds, hobbies and interests, to accommodate activities that were person centred, meaningful and engaging.”
The care home in Newton Leys, Milton Keynes has been open since September 2017 and offers residential care in a luxury setting. Residents enjoy a wide range of activities tailored to their individual preferences and can take advantage of the facilities in the home including cinema room, hair dressing salon, spa and bistro cafe.
