Balaclava-clad males armed with knives steal cash from family home in Milton Keynes

    Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to an aggravated burglary in Milton Keynes last night (12/10).

    At around 8pm, the victim, a man in his thirties, was at home in Duparc Close, Browns Wood, with his two young children in bed when he heard a knock at the door.

    He answered it and there were two males wearing balaclavas and holding kitchen knives at the door.

    The victim tried to close the door but the offenders pushed it back open and entered the house.

    They stole a quantity of cash before running off in the direction of Tallis Lane and Gabriel Close.

    CCTV footage shows two males dressed in black walking from Tallis Lane into Duparc Close before the burglary.

    The offenders are described as being aged in their late teens, one possibly mixed race and the other white.

    Both were wearing dark clothing with black balaclavas and gloves.

    One was wearing a hat with white trainers and the other was carrying a rucksack.

    PC Beth Horton, based at Milton Keynes police station, said: “The victim was understandably left terrified after this incident.

    “We are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to please come forward.

    “Also, if you have any CCTV footage in the area or any dash-cam footage if you were driving in the area around the time, we’d also ask that you check any recordings in case it has captured something that could assist our investigation.
