Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following an incident of grievous bodily harm and affray in Netherfield, Milton Keynes.
At approximately 6.45pm on Thursday (19/11), the victim, a 24-year-old man, was approached by a group of four males who were riding scooters, believed to be either stunt scooters or electric scooters, outside the Post Office in Netherfield local centre, Farthing Grove, Netherfield.
One of group had a cage or splint around his right lower leg.
The group began attacking the victim by punching and kicking him and the victim ran towards the Co-Op, seeking refuge inside the store.
He was pursued by the group inside the store and sustained a puncture wound consistent with a knife injury and required treatment at Milton Keynes University Hospital.
He has since been discharged.
The offenders are all described as white, aged in their late teens to early 20s.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Greg Hughes of Milton Keynes CID, said: “This was a nasty incident and the victim received what appears to be a wound caused by a sharply-bladed instrument.
“I am appealing to anybody who witnessed this incident to please get in touch with police by calling the 24-hour non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 43200385044.
