Today's Milton Keynes bin collection 'catch up' areas revealed

Milton Keynes Council have released details of which local areas will receive a 'catch up' bin collection today, following delays to collections across the city.

The following areas were due for their revised collection on Tuesday 2 January and will now be collected as a priority today (Thursday):

    • Haversham (part)
    • Old Wolverton (part)
    • Wolverton (part)
    • Stony (4 streets)
    • Two Mile Ash
    • Shenley Church End (part)
    • Loughton (11/53 streets)
    • Shenley Lodge (part)
    • Greenleys (part)
    • Crownhill
    • Medbourne (part)
    • Oakhill (part)
    • Great Holm (part)

The Council have also said that they hope to collect Wednesday 3 January (revised day) rounds today (Thursday) and so residents should continue to leave refuse and recycling out.

They have however told residents to be aware that if collections in these areas are not completed today, they will be collected tomorrow.

The news comes as many areas, including parts of Newport Pagnell and Olney, failed to receive their collections yesterday as scheduled.

MKFM has been closely following the story, with the Leader of MK Council Peter Marland saying that the situation was 'unacceptable'.
