99 patients currently being treated in Milton Keynes Hospital have coronavirus according to latest data

    The latest update tells us that 99 patients being treated at Milton Keynes University Hospital have tested positive for coronavirus, with none currently being treated on ventilators.

    The latest data, released by the government weekly, includes people admitted to MK Hospital who tested positive for COVID-19 in the 14 days prior to their hospital admission and those who tested positive in hospital after admission.

    The data, which tells us how many patients are being treated in MKUH, tells us that as of Tuesday 8th February, there are 99 patients being cared for in MK Hospital, with none being treated on a ventilator.

    Last week, there were 105 patients in MKUH.

    305 positive tests were recorded locally yesterday, taking the total number of cases to 81,851 since the start of the pandemic.

    Nationally, 66,638 people tested positive in the UK.

    All coronavirus data is provided by the government and NHS, no further information is provided on the variant, age, gender or the patients vaccination status.
