68% of adults in Milton Keynes have had their COVID-19 vaccine

The latest figures show that 68% of adults in Milton Keynes have had at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

This means that 136,743 local people have had their first dose of either the Pfizer, AstraZeneca, or Moderna vaccine.

And 69,359 people now have maximum protection against the virus.

The Government is well on track to vaccinating all UK adults by the end of July and has extended its rollout twice in the past week.

Therefore, anybody over the age of 34 in Milton Keynes can now book to have their COVID-19 jab.

And on Sunday (23/5), people are being invited to have their second AstraZeneca vaccination at Saxon Court.

The sessions have been set aside for those who have already had their first AstraZeneca jab and can only be given to those who have waited a minimum of eight weeks from their first dose.

There is no need to book an appointment; people can simply walk in from 8:30am to 3pm.
