Local fire crews were called to a fuel spill near Milton Keynes yesterday evening (26/7) and were tasked with clearing up 30 litres of diesel.

This was caused by a fuel bowser, that was carrying around 900 litres of diesel, overturning while being towed down the A4146 next to Stoke Hammond.

Firefighters from West Ashland rushed to the scene just after 17:30 to discover approximately 30 litres of the fuel had spilt onto the roadway.

The road was closed for less than 20 minutes while two crews stopped and contained the spill. They used an environmental protection kit and two water-filled booms.
