267 new coronavirus cases reported in Milton Keynes today

    There were an additional 267 new coronavirus cases recorded in Milton Keynes today, according to the latest Public Health England data.

    Today's data also announces that an additional nine people in our city have sadly died within 28 days of a positive test.

    The latest update brings the total number of people tested positive in Milton Keynes since the start of the pandemic to 14,649 - of which 1,947 were in the past seven days.

    The 7-day case rate in Milton Keynes has fallen today from 864 cases per 100,000 people yesterday to 807.5 cases per 100,000 people today.

    For comparison, the case rate is 549.8 in Central Bedfordshire, 900.2 in Bedford, 946.2 in Luton and 583.4 for the UK as a whole.

    Nationally, there were an additional 48,682 people tested positive today with 1,248 deaths within 28 days of a positive test.
