From domestic crimes to a robbery, here's what 24 hours of policing looks like in Milton Keynes...

    Thames Valley Police has today (9/7) shared a brief overview of what 24 hours of policing looks like in Milton Keynes.

    Each morning, a daily management meeting is held to review and discuss notable crimes and incidents from the past twenty-four hours. Let's take a look at what was discussed in this morning's meeting... 

    30x domestic crimes and incidents reviewed for investigation 

    These range from non-crime incidents to allegations of assaults, stalking, coercive control, criminal damage & threats to kill.

    2x reports of assault on emergency workers 

    A suspect is alleged to have coughed in the faces of police officers whilst claiming to have coronavirus. 

    1x report of residential burglary 

    This happened at Roveley Court in Stony Stratford. A wallet and money were stolen, and police enquiries are ongoing.

    1x report of a robbery

    This took place in Farthing Grove, Netherfield and an investigation is ongoing with the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).

    2x  reports of racially aggravated common assault

    3x reports of sexual offences

    These have been referred to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).

    Early turn officers have also started their shift by looking into four missing person investigations, three unauthorised encampments (working alongside Milton Keynes Council), five custody handovers, three reports for non-compliance for coronavirus-related matters, to name a few.

    Today, there are also 29 open jobs and 98 reported crimes for TVP's Smarter Resolution Team to follow up with victims.
