Teenage boy 'fell from bridge' causing Euston to Milton Keynes line to be closed

    A boy believed to be 14 years old has been left with injuries after falling from a bridge near Wembley onto the West Coast Main Line between Euston and Milton Keynes.

    Metropolitan Police officers were called at 4.25pm this afternoon to reports of a boy injured after a fall from a bridge, reports The Evening Standard.

    Officers attended along with the London Fire Brigade and British Transport Police. A boy believed to be 14 years old was found injured.

    An air ambulance was also been called to the scene. Police liaised with Network Rail and train operators to make the scene safe.

    The condition of the boy is not currently known.

    Power to the rail line was completely turned off leaving passengers stranded on some trains in darkness for up to two hours.

    Euston station was also closed due to overcrowding and passengers were told to use alternative routes.

    The first trains are now beginning to run on the line but severe disruption is expected until the end of the day.
